BACKGROUND AND GENERAL DESCRIPTION:
SavvyNet, was formed in 1995 to assist companies wanting a significant presence on the World Wide Web/Internet. Client services applied the newest computer and communications technologies to their businesses. Currently the goal of the company is to form partnerships in three business areas: (1) Internet Technology Based Business Solutions including consulting, Web sites, e-Commerce and Hosting Services (2) Intranet & Networking Services for enterprises using web based business applications internal to their operations. This includes a shared tenants services offering called SharePort TM for building owners offering smart Internet ready buildings. (3) "Mobile Worker Solutions" applying Web and Wireless technology to vertical markets such as field sales, home health, electrical contractors and education.

The company is forming strategic partnerships to take solutions to a vertical market where the business partner has a significant presence. Three such partnerships are in beta test and are expected to result in spin off web-based businesses. The newest development is in mobile computers and web enabled cell phones. These wireless devices are providing personal productivity and adding value to workers on the move. Making the business applications mobile is providing high payback to clients in the medical, utility and services fields. Software that uses the infrastructure of the Web and wireless networks is being customized to enable field workers or remote team members to input and access critical information from anywhere including the point of service. Thus the name PointWareTM has been coined. The company is writing custom application software incorporating thin client technology.

SavvyNet is currently developing software products for the mobile data entry market based Handheld Personal Computers, HPC, and Pocket PCs running Microsoft CE operating system. This product set is application specific code called PointWareä enabling mobile workers to enter or access critical data at the point of service. Markets of interest are Health Services, Point of Purchase/sale, Point of Inspection or field installation, and Point of Survey and Maintenance of buildings. Other vertical markets will include manufactures representatives, field sales agents, and road warriors needing real time access to computer servers that store or have access to the user business critical data.

The company is a value-added reseller of MetaFrame tm from Citrix Systems, This product is offered on a license basis scaled for client terminals. Value added by SavvyNet includes consulting, network engineering, training and tailoring of the software.

The staff includes certified Citrix techs, C++ software engineers, multimedia and web designers, communications consultants and business development specialties. Affiliates in the medical, field sales and technical fields round out the service and consulting staff. Products in the Mobile Worker field are being introduced in 2000.

The company's knowledge about the Internet/Intranet was gained from founders previously at an Advertising Agency, two Fortune 500 Companies and at the University of Minnesota. The Company is privately held with investments from Anoka/Shureburn County development funds and the Genesis Business Incubator.
